Description
Documentary filmmaker Anna Broinowski attempts to sort fact from fiction in the fact-based account of writer Norma Khouri and her incendiary 2003 bestseller "Forbidden Love," which purported to tell the true story of the author's best friend, a Jordanian woman slain by her own father in an "honor killing" under Islamic law for falling in love with an American Christian serving in the United States Army. Critics charge Khouri with creating a literary hoax, while cameras follow her to Jordan in an attempt to prove her story's veracity.
